Reasons Why a Massage Hurt
A massage involves a therapist working on your body either manually or using mechanical aids. In most cases people go for massage because of relaxation. However, some people want their chronic muscular issues like ‘knots’ attended to.
Why a massage for back pain may hurt
The reasons people experience back pains are a result of muscle strain and conditions like osteoarthritis of the spine. In this case people opt for a massage.
During the massage one may experience pain because of the following reasons;
The part of the body part being massaged is hurt. Since the therapist will be applying some pressure you will tend to feel pain. In other instances the area can be more sensitive hence it might hurt when being worked on.
Another reason is if you haven’t had a massage for a long period or if its the first time. Also if the therapist is going too hard on a person. A simple malady to this problem is talking to your therapist.
A massage should not be painful. Otherwise it should be the good pain, the one that makes some person feel good.
